Maurice J. Sullivan Classic

Our 26th annual Maurice J. Sullivan Golf Classic will be held on Friday, January 16 on the Arnold Palmer and George Fazio courses at The Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay.

About the Tournament

  • Arnold Palmer & George Fazio Courses with be combined in to a “27- hole course” Each group will play a full 18 holes: your exact course is determined by your starting hole.

    • 18 holes on Palmer and the Front 9 on Fazio

    • After playing Plamer 18 proceed to Fazio 1

    • After playing Fazio 9 proceed to Palmer 1

  • The tournament will be a scramble format with a two-putt maximum.

  • Each player hits their ball from the tee box, and the team selects the “best shot.” Each player on the team plays their next shot from that spot, within one club length, no closer to the hole.

  • The group continues to play this way until the ball is holed out. There is a two-putt maximum once on the green.

  • The winning teams will be determined after all scores are compiled and announced on this page and at our Saturday evening reception.

 

Winners and Prizes

Overall tournament group winners

  • 26th place (1st place group) (4 players) will receive $200 each

  • 2nd place group (4 players) will receive $150 each

  • 3rd place group (4 players) will receive $100 each

  • 4th place group (4 players) will receive $50 each 

Closest to Pin Contests
There will be 4 closest to the pin contests.  Winners will receive $50 Foodland Gift Cards. These contests will take place on Fazio #2, Palmer #4, Palmer #13 and Fazio #8.

Longest Drive Contests
There will be longest drive contests on with a Mens winner and Ladies winner on each course (4 total winners).  Winners will receive $50 Foodland Gift Cards.

  • Ladies’ Long Drive: Palmer 3 and Fazio 3

  • Men’s Long Drive: Fazio 4 and Palmer 12

Free Groceries for a Year* Hole in One Prize
Hole in One contests will be held on Palmer #8 and Fazio #11. *Free Groceries for a Year will be equivalent to $500 per month in Foodland gift cards for twelve months.
